Actors' Fund Auction of 1000 Stars Will Launch June 11

Does a guitar lesson from Tony winner Michael Cerveris interest you? How about a vocal coaching session with Barbara Cook? Maybe a day at Shea Stadium with the Mets? If any of these whet your whistle, then the Actors' Fund of America's Auction of 1000 Stars is for you.

The seventh annual auction will launch June 11 at www.auctionof1000stars.org. Those taking part in the auction will have two weeks to place their bids on a host of memorabilia and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Among the items that will be auctioned: a night on the town with Alec Baldwin, dinner with Tony winner Alan Cumming, a Shakespearean acting lesson with Lynn Redgrave, the chance to meet the Grammy-winning rock group Linkin Park as well as walk-on roles in Rent, The Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia! and Chicago.

Also up for grabs: visits to the sets of CNN, "All My Children," "MADtv," "Guiding Light" and Turner Classic Movies; tickets to "Emeril Live"; gala event passes for the 2008 Tony Awards and the Tony Awards Gala, the 2008 Nick Kid's Choice Awards, the 2008 Grammy Awards, the 2008 Film Independent Spirit Awards after-party and red carpet bleacher seats for the 14th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards; as well as the opening-night celebrations of Grease, Xanadu, Rock 'n' Roll, The Seafarer and Is He Dead?

The Actors' Fund, which was founded in 1882, is a non-profit organization that provides for the social welfare of all entertainment professionals. Some of the many programs The Actors' Fund provides include a nursing home and assisted living care facility; senior and disabled programs; mental health services; chemical dependency services; entertainment industry assistance programs; the Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative; the AIDS Initiative; and supportive housing on both coasts.
