Harris, Springer and Maroulis to Present at Daytime Emmy Awards June 15

By Ernio Hernandez
13 Jun 2007

Neil Patrick Harris, Jerry Springer, Constantine Maroulis and Barbara Walters will be among the presenters at the upcoming 34th annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards.

The ceremony will take place June 15 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. CBS-TV will broadcast the annual event live from 9-11 PM (ET).

Mackenzie Mauzy — who starred opposite Will Chase in the world premiere of Andrew Lippa and Brian Crawley's musical A Little Princess — is also among a presenters roster that includes Tyra Banks, Murray Bartlett, Brandon Beemer, Joy Behar, Peter Bergman, Terri Colombino, Ellen DeGeneres, Phil Donahue, Vivica A. Fox, Genie Francis, Tony Geary, Daniel Goddard, Michael Graziadei, Lindsay Hartley, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Thorsten Kaye, Eva La Rue, Mario Lopez, Kyle Lowder, Thad Luckinbill, Martha Madison, Forbes March, Eric Martsolf, Cameron Mathison, John McCook, Austin Peck, Rachael Ray, Marcy Rylan, Michelle Ray Smith, Alex Trebek, Bree Williamson and Kim Zimmer.

Reneé Elise Goldsberry — original Broadway cast member of The Color Purple — and Rosie O'Donnell are among the nominees for the television honors.

Goldsberry played the role of Nettie in The Color Purple. The actress — who also appeared on Broadway as Nala in The Lion King — is Emmy-nominated in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series category for her work on ABC's "One Life to Live." She will vie against co-star Heather Tom (Prymate).

Broadway producer (Taboo), star (Fiddler on the Roof, Seussical) and cheerleader O'Donnell is nominated with her former "View" co-hosts Barbara Walters, Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck for Outstanding Talk Show Host. They will compete against Dr. Phil McGraw, Ellen DeGeneres, Rachael Ray, Tyra Banks — for their respective self-titled shows — and "Soap Talk" co-hosts Lisa Rinna and Ty Treadway.

James Lipton ("Inside the Actors Studio") will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award. For a full list of nominees, visit emmyonline.org.
