Mark R. Power, managing director of Pittsburgh Public Theater, announced he will be leaving the company in mid-July 2007.
Power will pursue independent projects, including his long-time practice of investing in Broadway shows, including the recent productions of the multi-Tony Award winners Company and The Producers.
"Mark has brought so much to The Public, including a great business sense and an amazing entrepreneurial spirit," stated Ted Pappas, "and we're fortunate he'll remain both a close friend and supporter of the company, so we can still benefit from his energy and savvy."
The future status of The Public's senior management team is in the process of being finalized.
