By Adam Hetrick
03 Jul 2007

Casting has been announced for the upcoming production of Romance/Romance, which is part of the Hot Summer Nights series at the Kennedy in Raleigh, NC.

A cast of Broadway and regional actors will inhabit the production, including Brian Myers Cooper (Miss Saigon, Oklahoma!), Stacey Harris (Bells Are Ringing, Dreamgirls), Tatiana Guy (Footloose, Fiddler On the Roof) and Michael Jones (Beauty and the Beast).

Alan Campbell, Tony-nominated for his work in Sunset Boulevard, serves as Hot Summer Nights' artistic producer. His wife, Broadway actress Lauren Kennedy, will make her directorial debut with Romance/Romance, which runs July 5-15.

The creative team for Romance/Romance includes Curtis Jones (technical director/set and lighting designer), Casey Watkins and Kristin Grieneisen (costumes), Tiffany Owle (production stage manager), Brian L. Hunt (sound designer) and Caitlen Smith (props mistress).

Romance/Romance features a score by Barry Harman and Keith Herrmann. The musical is comprised of two complementary acts, The Little Comedy, set in Vienna at the turn of the century, and Summer Share, set in the Hamptons, both of which explore love and relationships. Songs include "Words He Doesn't Say," "Goodbye, Emil," "The Night It Had to End" and "Now."

Tickets are on sale through by calling (919) 834-4000 or online at ticketmaster.com
