Naked Boys Singing!, the long-running Off-Broadway revue that celebrates male nudity, begins its ninth year July 28.
The 15-song production currently plays New World Stages Stage 4, a theatre it shares with another set of "boys," the Altar Boyz. The Naked Boys perform Fridays at 10:30 PM and Saturdays at 6 and 10:30 PM.
The current cast features Michael Chapman, Eric Dean Davis, Frank Galgano, Brian M. Golub, Matthew Kilgore, George Livengood, Craig Lowry, Timothy John Mandala, Lance Olds and Phil Simmons.
The 70-minute, intermissionless show was conceived and directed by Robert Schrock with choreography by Jeffrey Denman. The musical revue opened in July 1999 at the Actors' Playhouse. Producers are Jamie Cesa, Carl D. White, Hugh Hayes and Tom Smedes.
The production features lighting design by Aaron Copp and set design by Carl D. White.
