Spring Awakening Launches Official Fan Club Website

For those who just can't get enough of their "junk," Spring Awakening, the 2007 Tony Award winner for Best Musical, has announced the launch of its official fan club website.
Spring Awakening fans are now able to visit the site and sign up for exclusive "Fan Club-Only" events, including upcoming live chat events and cast interviews. In addition, fans will be able to download buddy icons, templates for their Myspace pages, and downloads featuring exclusive photos of the Spring Awakening cast.
The fan site will also host cast profile features including Q&A sessions, forums and photo and text blog entries. Fan club members will be granted exclusive access to new merchandise, promotional offers and various contests for exclusive fan-site Spring Awakening memorabilia. Discount tickets, priority seating and special on-stage seating opportunities will also be made available to those who sign up for the fan club site.

Spring Awakening won eight 2007 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. With direction by Michael Mayer and choreography by Bill T. Jones, the musical is based on Frank Wedekind's 1891 expressionist play. The musical made its world premiere Off-Broadway at the Atlantic Theater Company in June 2006. It transferred to Broadway the following November, where it continues to play to packed houses at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre.
