I See London, I See France Also Sees Cast and Creative Team Completed for NYMF

By Adam Hetrick
21 Aug 2007

The producers of I See London, I See France: The Underwear Musical announced complete casting and creative team for the show's upcoming bow at the New York Musical Theatre Festival.

"When brainy ad exec Gina is dumped for a bimbo on her 35th birthday, her universe starts to crumble," according to production notes. "Haunted by a trio of singing lingerie models, she's shocked to find herself falling for the dim-but-smoldering poster boy for her agency's most salacious campaign."

Jeremy Dobrish directs the production featuring Sandy Rustin as Gina. Kenny, the object of her lust, will be played by underwear model/actor Nicholas Ardell. Rounding out the company are Jordan Gelbe, Ronica V. Reddick, David Rossmer, Juliana Ashley Hansen, Mandi Miller and Karla Mosley.

I See London, I See France collaborators Jeremy Desmon (music and lyrics) and Vid Guerrerio (book and lyrics), previously wrote the musical The Girl in the Frame, produced at Goodspeed's Norma Terris Theatre (and elsewhere). Both Desmon and Guerrerio are alumni of the NYU Tisch Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program. Desmin is the 2007 winner of the Edward Kleban Award for Excellence.

The creative team for the NYMF production is comprised of choreographer Warren Adams, musical director Jana Zielonka, orchestrator Bernie Anderson, set designer Dustin O'Neill, costume designer Brenda Abbandandolo, lighting designer Michael Gottlieb, and sound designer Jill C. Duboff.

I See London, I See France runs Sept. 18-29 at TBG Theatre, located 312 West 36th St. in Manhattan. Tickets are available by visiting www.nymf.org or by calling (212) 352-3101.
