I See London, I See France Sells Out NYMF Run; Additional Performances Added

By Adam Hetrick
07 Sep 2007

The ticket frenzy around the ever-popular New York Musical Theatre Festival has already sold-out one show and initiated others to schedule additional performances.

Within 72 hours of the Sept. 1 release of single ticket sales to the general public, I See London, I See France sold out all six of the originally scheduled performances for the NYMF run. An additional 4:30 PM performance on Sept. 28 at the TBG Theater has been added for those unable to previously obtain tickets.

The NYMF box office has noted that strong sales aren't limited to a select few "hit" shows — ticket sales are strong across the board for the 34 musicals set for presentation.

Productions that have scheduled additional performances include The Kids Left, the Dog Died, Now What? on Oct. 7 at 4 PM at the TBG Theater; Step! on Oct. 6 at 11 PM at the 45th Street Theater; and Austentatious on Sept. 28 at 11 PM at the Julia Miles Theater.

In other NYMF news, the Donald McKayle helmed musical Roller Derby, featuring a score by John Braden and Harold Wheeler, with book and lyrics by Barry Arnold, will now play the larger 199-seat Ailey Citigroup Theatre.

For tickets to NYMF productions, visit www.nymf.org or call (212) 352-3101.
