Spring Awakening, Grease, Les Miz and Wicked Understudies to Take Centerstage in Two Concerts

At This Performance, the ongoing salute to Broadway and Off-Broadway standbys and understudies, will continue Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.
Presented by Musicals Tonight!, the 8 PM concerts will be held at Off-Broadway's McGinn/Cazale Theatre. Casting director Stephen DeAngelis will host the evenings, which will feature musical direction and piano accompaniment by Dennis Blischak.
Among the performers scheduled to entertain on Sept. 30 are Ben Crawford (understudy for the roles of Javert and Jean Valjean in the revival of Les Miserables), Joey Dudding (understudy for the roles of Paul and Mark in the revival of A Chorus Line), Heather Ferguson (understudy for the roles of Mary Delgado, Francine and Lorraine in the Broadway production of Jersey Boys), Van Hughes (understudy for the roles of Link Larkin and Corny Collins in Hairspray), Matthew Hydzik (understudy for the role of Danny Zuko and Teen Angel in the revival of Grease), Valisia Lekae Little (understudy for the role of Snookie in the revival of 110 in the Shade), Darius Nichols (understudy for the role of Jimmy Curry in the revival of 110 in the Shade), Keven Quillon (understudy for the roles of Roger and Sonny Latierri in the revival of Grease), Christina Sivrich (understudy for the roles of Jan, Frenchy and Miss Lynch in the revival of Grease) and Anna Aimee White (understudy for the roles of Marty, Sandy Dumbrowski and Patty Simcox in the revival of Grease).
The Oct. 1 evening will boast the talents of Ann Arvia (understudy for the roles of Miss Andrew, Mrs. Brill and Bird Woman in Mary Poppins), Matt Doyle (understudy for the role of Melchior in Spring Awakening), Jim Ferris (standby for the roles of Timon, Pumbaa and Zazu in The Lion King), Brian Gonzalez (standby for the roles of William Barfee, Leaf Coneybear and Douglas Panch in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Becky Gulsvig (understudy for the roles of Elle Woods in Legally Blonde), Natalie Hill (understudy for the roles of Rizzo and Marty in the revival of Grease), Carly Hughes (standby for the roles of Marcy Park and Rona Lisa Peretti in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Alli Mauzey (standby for the role of Glinda in Wicked) and Courtney Wolfson (understudy for the role of Eponine in the revival of Les Miserables).
