"Two and a Half Men" Star Hinkle Featured in L.A. Run of Robin's Anon

By Ernio Hernandez
09 Oct 2007

Stage and screen actress Marin Hinkle is among the rotating cast in the West Coast premiere of Kate Robin's Anon in Los Angeles.

The Echo Theater Company presents the run. Echo artistic director Chris Fields directs the work by the "Six Feet Under" writer, which begins Oct. 12 for a run at the California stage through Nov. 11.

Anon follows the "story of Trip and Allison who meet in a chance encounter when he hires her as a therapist for his cat. Little do they realize that they'll end up thrust into an intense relationship in which their desire to save each other and themselves may become mutually exclusive," according to show notes.

Kit Pongetti, Blayne Weaver, Alison Martin and Larry Joshua star in the play (and appear at every performance). The ensemble will feature a rotating cast of 20 women (filling in the 10 remaining roles) including Nancy Bell (Polish Joke), Elizabeth Bennett ("Point Pleasant"), Emy Coligado (Miss Saigon), Shawna Casey, Loreni Delgado, Andrea Grano, Marin Hinkle ("Two and a Half Men", Miss Julie), Sarah Hudson, Tara Karsian ("ER"), Emily Kosloski (Les Miserables), Misi L. Lecube, Melinda McGraw ("The Dark Knight"), Sarah Jane Morris ("Brothers & Sisters"), Sigute Miller, Ginette Rhodes, Anna Simone Scott, Mandy Siegfried ("Grey's Anatomy," Noises Off), Jeanne Syquia, Aloma Wright ("Scrubs") and Jacqueline Wright.

The design team includes Mina Kinukawa (set), Lisa D. Katz (lighting), Audrey Eisner (costumes) and Drew Dalzell (sound). The production features original music by John Larroquette, Jr.

The work made its world premiere Off-Broadway at the Atlantic Theater Company's Stage 2 in January 2007. Remy Auberjonois (The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow), Susan Blackwell (title of show), Bill Buell (Urinetown) and Michelle Federer (Wicked) were among the cast.

Robin has also penned the plays Intrigue With Faye (seen Off-Broadway by MCC), The Light Outside (The Flea), Swimming In March (The Market Theater) and Bride Stripped Bare (ThreadWaxing Space). She served as a supervising producer on "Six Feet Under" and has also wrote for "Coming Soon."

Tickets ($20) to The Echo Theater Company's Anon at Stage 52, 5299 W. Washington Blvd. in Los Angeles, CA, are available by calling (800) 413-8669 or visiting echotheatercompany.com.
