A U.K. tour of Mary Poppins — the award-winning Disney/Cameron Mackintosh musical that will end its three-and-a-half year run at London's Prince Edward Theatre Jan. 12, 2008 — will kick off in June 2008.

Five destinations have been announced for the upcoming tour: Theatre Royal in Plymouth (June 4, 2008-July 5), the Hippodrome in Birmingham (July 20-Sept. 27), the Playhouse in Edinburgh (Oct. 1-Dec. 6), the Palace Theatre in Manchester (Dec. 10, 2008-March 7, 2009) and the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff (March 11-Apriil 18, 2009). Casting will be announced shortly.

The creative team of Mary Poppins is led by director Richard Eyre with co-direction and choreography by Matthew Bourne and co-choreography by Stephen Mear. Bob Crowley designed the sets and costumes. Lighting design is by Howard Harrison, sound design by Paul Groothius and orchestrations by William David Brohn.

James Powell will be the associate director of the tour; Geoff Garrett is associate choreographer. Musical supervision will be by Stephen Brooker; the conductor will be James Dodgson.

The Broadway production of Mary Poppins continues at the New Amsterdam Theatre.
