McDonald, as the well-intended knight-errant, was seen on Broadway as Sam Carmichael in Mamma Mia and in the Broadway companies of Side Show and Les Misérables.
Jacqueline Colmer, who most recently starred as Anita in the Barrington Stage Company production of West Side Story, will portray the object of Quixote's affection, Aldonza.
As Quixote's sidekick Sancho will be Michael Lluberes. Lluberes returns to his acting roots, having most recently penned the award-winning The Boy in the Bathroom for the 2007 New York Musical Theatre Festival.
Joining La Mancha's trio will be Brian Mathis as Governor and Innkeeper; Jackson Ross Best, Jr. as Padre; Blake Davidson as Duke and Dr. Carrasco; D'Lytha Myers as Antonia; Dennis Yslas as Barber; Greg Dulcie as Pedro; Lois Sonnier Hart as Housekeeper; Margaret Shafer as Maria; Kia Dawn Fulton as Fermina; Christopher Deaton as Anselmo; Sydney Erik Wright as Jose; Jerome Bethea as Juan; Michael Newberry as Tenorio; Willy Welch as Guitar Player; Ben Giddings as Paco; and Doug LoPachin as Captain Inquisition with Shance Ryan Brentham, Jeremy Inman and Timothy Riley as Guards.
Elliot Wasserman directs Man of La Mancha for Casa Mañana audiences.
