Cathy Rigby goes canine as she begins performances in A.R. Gurney's Sylvia Nov. 2 at California's La Mirada Theatre.
Joel Bishoff (Too Old For The Chorus) direct the Gurney work, which is being presented by La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts and McCoy Rigby Entertainment. The show is scheduled for a run through Nov. 18.
Joining Rigby in the cast are Suzanne Ford, James Stellos and Robert Yacko.
"Sylvia is young, cute, street-smart, outspoken and although Greg is married, she quickly sweeps him off his feet," according to press notes. "So what's new or different? The other woman in this affair just happens to be a dog! A dog who is a shameless flirt!"
The design team for Sylvia includes Neil Peter Jampolis (set and lighting), Judy Jou (costumes) and David Edwards (sound). Lea Chazin serves as production stage manager.
Tickets to Sylvia at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, 14900 La Mirada Boulevard in La Mirada, CA, can be purchased by calling (562) 944-9801 or (714) 994-6310. For more information visit lamiradatheatre.com.
