Suzan-Lori Parks' ambitious play cycle, 365 Days/365 Plays, wraps up Nov. 12 following a two-day celebration that began at Off-Broadway's Public Theater Nov. 11.

In 2002 Suzan-Lori Parks conceptualized writing one play a day for an entire year – the result was the play cycle 365 Days/365 Plays, in which some plays are no more than a page long, while others are more fully realized.

This past year over 600 participating theatres nationwide took part in presenting Parks' play cycle. The Public, which leads the New York component of 365 Days/365 Plays, invited all of the actors involved in the 365NYC festival to take part in the Nov. 11 and 12 7 PM performances.

Among the New York-based companies whose actors are taking part in the closing festivities are 52nd Street Project, Ars Nova, Atlantic Theater Company, Banana Bag and Bodice, Barrow Street Theatre, Blue Box Productions, Boomerang Theater Company, Brick Theater, Classical Theatre of Harlem, Clubbed Thumb, Collaboration Town, Dixon Place, Drama League Directors Project, Engine 37, Epic Theatre Center, Faux-Real Theatre Company, Galapagos Art Space, Gansfield Theatre Company, Guerrilla Girls on Tour, HERE Arts Center, Hoi Polloi, Hourglass Group, INTAR Theatre, LAByrinth Theater Company, LightBox, Ma-Yi Theater Company, MUD/BONE, Naked Angels, New Dance Group Arts Center, New Georges, The New Group, New York Neo-Futurists, New York Theatre Workshop, Partial Comfort Productions, Pig Iron Theatre Company, Polybe + Seats, Pregones Theater, Queens Theatre in the Park, RACCA’s Seaport Salon, Rebel Theater Company Inc., Rising Phoenix Repertory, Robot Vs. Dinosaur, Salt Theater, scenedowntown, Shakespeare Lab at The Public Theater, SITI Company, SLANT Theatre Project, TADA! Youth Theater, The Tank, The TEAM, Temporary Theatre Company, The Public Theater, Universes, Untitled Theater Company #61 and viBe Theater Experience.

The last plays in Parks' cycle include The Sin Collector, Puja Play for Sri Ganesha, 7-Eleven, All Good Things Must Come To An End, 9-11, Talkback, The Blank Before The World and 365 Days/365 Plays: A Play Within A Play. Joanna Settle, who helmed productions of In Darfur for the Public, directed the final works in the series.

The concluding performance on Nov. 12 presents Parks' last eight plays of her cycle as well as the final presentations of the 365 Days/365 Plays from Rebel Theater company, HERE Arts Center and Pig Iron Theatre Company. The performance begins at 7 PM with a reception to follow featuring playwright Suzan-Lori Parks.

Suzan-Lori Parks is a Pulitzer Prize winner for her play Topdog/Underdog, which was produced at The Public. Her other works include Fucking A, Imperceptible Mutabilities in the Third Kingdom, The America Play, Venus, The Death of the Last Black Man in the Whole Entire World and In The Blood, among others.
