MTV will re-broadcast Broadway's Legally Blonde, the Musical twice on Thanksgiving, with a special bonus feature.

The 1 and 8 PM (ET) Nov. 22 screenings on the cable network will include the show's song lyrics (by co-songwriters Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin) at the bottom of the screen. Check listings for channel and time in your area.

The musical, which is temporarily shuttered by the ongoing stagehands strike, was recorded in front of a packed house at the Palace Theatre in late summer and later broadcast on MTV Oct. 13. The screening was seen by roughly 1.27 million home viewers.

Legally Blonde was the most watched television program of audience members ages 12-34 during its 1-4 PM time slot Oct. 13. Including all subsequent weekend broadcasts, Legally Blonde was seen by a total of 12.5 million viewers.

Young women ages 12-17 were the highest demographic of viewers tuning in to catch sorority girl Elle Woods save the day, get the guy and earn a law degree while toting a Chihuahua.

The MTV broadcast features the Broadway musical in its entirety as well as behind-the-scenes footage and a pre-show, celebrity- studded "pink carpet." The latter includes numerous celebrity arrivals and the cast of the MTV series "The Hills," including Lauren Conrad, Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port, who hosted the pre-show Pink Carpet in front of Broadway's Palace Theatre.

Legally Blonde stars Laura Bell Bundy as pink-clad Elle Woods, Christian Borle (Spamalot) as Emmett, Orfeh (Saturday Night Fever) as Paulette, Richard H. Blake (The Wedding Singer) as Warner, Kate Shindle (Cabaret) as Vivienne, Nikki Snelson (Off-Broadway's How to Save the World…) as Brooke and Tony Award winner Michael Rupert (Sweet Charity, The Happy Time, Ragtime) as Professor Callahan.

The production is directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, featuring a score by Laurence O'Keefe (Bat Boy: The Musical) and Nell Benjamin (Sarah, Plain and Tall), with a book by Heather Hach (the film "Freaky Friday").

Hal Luftig, Fox Theatricals and Dori Berinstein produce the show on Broadway, in association with MGM Onstage, Darcie Denkert and Dean Stolber.
