Ashley Brown, the parasol-toting star of Disney's Mary Poppins, will lead the Broadway Artists Alliance master class on Dec. 28.

During the Mary Poppins-themed master class, Brown will lead an audition song interpretation class, in which the young participants will be coached on their best 16-32 bar selections. Later in the day, students in the master class will learn a section of choreography from the Mary Poppins favorite, "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious."

The Dec. 28 master class concludes with a visit from Mary Poppins casting representatives from Tara Rubin Casting. This final one-on-one interpretation session will provide students with feedback on the material they learned with Brown earlier in the day. The Mary Poppins master class is recommended for advanced singer/actors ages 10-18.

Previous talents who have lent their time and experience to the program include Sutton Foster, Beth Leavel, Jason Robert Brown, Lea Michele, Heather Parcells, Lauren Kennedy, John Lloyd Young, John Gallagher Jr., Stephen Schwartz and Lea Salonga.

Upcoming master class themes include Wicked (Jan. 19, 2008); Spring Awakening (Jan. 21); Little Mermaid (Mar. 24); Hairspray (April 13); Spamalot (May 4); and Young Frankenstein (June 23). The creative participants involved will be announced shortly.

Space is limited for the Broadway Artists Alliance Master Classes. Those interested can find further information and applications by visiting www.broadwayartistsalliance.org/masterclasses.
