Broadway's trunk songs will be dusted off when the New York Theatre Barn presents an evening of songs that never made it to opening night in Not Quite Junk… In the Trunk at the Duplex Jan. 14.
The selections include cut songs from Wicked, The Last 5 Years, Avenue Q, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Pippin, Once on This Island, Side Show, Next to Normal and I Married Wyatt Earp. Joe Barros directs the evening with music direction by Chris Kong.
Prior to Not Quite Junk… In the Trunk will be singer Dani Rhodes performing her cabaret On the Rhodes of Love. Rhodes begins the first half of the evening at 7 PM; Not Quite Junk… In the Trunk immediately follows. Not Quite Junk… In the Trunk is part of the ongoing monthly NYTB at the Duplex series.
