Bright Lights Big City composer Paul Scott Goodman presents a new concert staging of his post-9/11 musical Alive in the World Jan. 13 and 14 at the Zipper Factory.

Sh-K-Boom-Ghostlight Records founder Kurt Deutsch directs the musical described as "a bold new musical theatre work about living and loving in post-9/11 New York City. Six characters explore feelings of longing, loss, hope, fear and happiness."

The cast for Alive in the World features Tony nominee Melissa Errico (Amour), Lea Michele (Spring Awakening), Daniel Reichard (Jersey Boys), Adam Pascal (Rent), Greg Naughton (Golden Boy) and singer-songwriter Toby Lightman.

Creative duties for the concert staging include music direction by Jim Abbott, musical staging by Dan Knechtges and lighting design by Herrick Goldman.

Alive in the World is presented as a special benefit for the Twin Towers Orphan Fund. Tickets to the 7 PM Jan. 13 and 14 concerts are $65, $100, $150, and $250 and can be purchased by calling (212) 352-3101 or by visiting www.thezipperfactory.com.
