Blue Roads features book, music and lyrics by Bob Larimer. The musical, about the price of fame, is described as such: "Trixie loves Charley, but his former wife is Stella Apple, the famous country music star. And she just might want to get back on the horse that threw her. Stella has offered Charley a chance to join her concert tour, which could jump-start his stalled singing career, but Trixie may have something better to offer: the devotion of a warm, intelligent woman and a chance to settle down from his vagabond life. Traveling those blue-colored back roads on the map, Charley meets a variety of oddball characters including one old buddy whose obsession with a woman has landed him in Leavenworth Prison."
