The 24 Hour Plays company teams with the Exchange to produce the Jan. 21 benefit event at Joe's Pub. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Exchange and the Orchard Project.
"Sixteen stars. Four composers. Four directors. Two choreographers," boasts show materials. "Four brand new musicals will be written, cast, rehearsed and performed at Joe's Pub in a single day, featuring an all-new all-star line up of Broadway performers, great composers and writers, directors and to top it all off, choreographers and musical directors."
Tony winner Ted Sperling (The Light in the Piazza, Striking 12) will serve as creative director for the evening.
Adam Bock (The Receptionist), Joe Iconis (The Black Suits), Jonathan Butterell (The Light in the Piazza), Chase Brock (Wonderful Town) and Warren Carlyle (Oklahoma!) are among the creatives that also include David Yazbeck (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) and Moises Kaufman (The Laramie Project).
