Screen star Cybill Shepherd stars in the solo show Curvy Widow, starting Jan. 24 at San Francisco's Post Street Theatre.

Scott Schwartz directs the Bobby Goldman work, which will officially opens Feb. 3 and play a limited engagement through March 9.

The new comedy follows "the hilarious exploits of a fifty something widow whose modern adventures in internet dating reveal unexpected truths about life, love - and sex," according to press notes.

She has also appeared as Martha Stewart in NBC's "Martha Stewart, Inc." and CBS' "Martha Stewart: Behind Bars" as well as Showtime's "Open Window" and "The L Word."

On the stage, Shepherd has been seen in productions of Shot in the Dark, The Seven Year Itch, Last of the Red Hot Lovers, Lunch Hour, Vanities and Picnic.

Director Schwartz has staged Broadway's Golda's Balcony, Jane Eyre (co directed with John Caird) and Off-Broadway's Bat Boy: The Musical, The Foreigner, Miss Julie, No Way to Treat a Lady and tick, tick. . .Boom! He has also directed regional productions at the Alley Theatre, Papermill Playhouse, La Jolla Playhouse, Pasadena Playhouse, Theatreworks and North Shore Music Theatre.

The design team for Curvy Widow features David C. Woolard (set and costume), Michael Gilliam (lighting), Sten Severson and Mark Bennett (sound) and Michael Clark (projection). Bennett also provides original music.

Tickets for Curvy Widow at San Francisco's Post Street Theatre, 450 Post Street, are available via the box office, by phone at (415) 771-6900 and online at ticketmaster.com.
