A new online television series "The Battery's Down" – chronicling the life of a young performer in New York City – will guest star Broadway talent from both sides of the footlights.

Jake Wilson, a University of Michigan graduate, plays himself in the new series comprised of 20-minute episodes debuting the first of each month. Directed and written by Wilson – the premiere episode entitled "The Big Apple" – will premiere Feb. 1 at 12:01 AM.

Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (Edges, Johnny and the Sprites) have penned the theme song for the new series that will include songs from composers such as David Kirshenbaum (Vanities, Party Come Here), Josh Salzman and Ryan Cunningham (I Love You Because), as well as Ryan Scott Oliver and Kirsten A. Guenther (Alive at Ten) who pen the series' closing song "This is Your Life."

Among the Broadway performers who will make guest appearances are Michael Arden (The Times They Are A-Changin'), Jonathan Groff (Spring Awakening), Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Seussical, Spelling Bee), David Hull (Wicked), Michael Kadin Craig (Altar Boyz), Hélene Yorke (Walmartopia), as well as Nikole Vallins and Rachel Hoffman of Binder and Telsey + Co. casting agencies.

Urinetown's Jennifer Cody will appear as Nancy MaGuire, alongside series regulars Cortney Wolfson (Les Miserables), Ryan Watkinson (Xanadu), Dani Spieler, Nina Sturtz, and Adam Wachter. "The Battery's Down" theme song composers Pasek and Paul will also make regular appearances on the monthly series.
