Terra C. MacLeod

Terra C. MacLeod, who has appeared in the Montreal and Paris stagings of Chicago, returns to the Broadway production of the Kander and Ebb musical Feb. 21.

MacLeod is scheduled to play a two-week run as Velma Kelly through March 6, while Brenda Braxton vacations.

Braxton will return to the Tony-winning revival at the Ambassador Theatre March 7. As previously reported, Grammy winner Mya will succeed Braxton as the merry murderess May 12 for a nine-week run through July 13.

Terra C. MacLeod was recently seen in Musical Theatre West's production of Guys and Dolls. She is the recipient of the Jessie Richardson Award for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Anita in the Vancouver Arts Club production of West Side Story. MacLeod's screen credits include "The Lizzie Maguire Movie," "The Reagans," "The Dead Zone," "Jeremiah," "Cold Squad" and "Life or Something Like It."

Chicago won the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical in 1997 as well as awards for actors Bebe Neuwirth and James Naughton, director Walter Bobbie, lighting designer Ken Billington and choreographer Ann Reinking. The original production was directed and choreographed by the late Bob Fosse.

Chicago currently features Bianca Marroquin as Roxie Hart, John Schneider as Billy Flynn, Ron Orbach as Amos Hart and Roz Ryan as Matron "Mama" Morton. Chicago plays the Ambassador Theatre, located at 215 West 49th Street.
