Theatre for a New Audience has announced the cast for its upcoming production of Antony and Cleopatra with newcomer Marton Csokas starring opposite stage veteran Laila Robins.

Darko Tresnjak directs the William Shakespeare tale, which plays March 22-May 2 at The Duke on 42nd Street. Opening night is slated for April 3.

Jeffrey Carlson (Taboo, "All My Children") and Randy Harrison (Wicked, "Queer as Folk") are also featured in the cast that includes Nathan Blew, Christine Corpuz, Greg Derelian, Grant Goodman, James Knight, George Morfogen, Ryan Quinn, Michael Rogers, Christian Rummel, Matthew Schneck, Christen Simon, Erik Singer, John Douglas Thompson and Lisa Velten.

(Christine Baranski had previously been announced to star as the title heroine but withdrew from the production. The actress will next be seen on Broadway in Boeing-Boeing.)

Robins, who starred in Theatre for a New Audience's Sore Throats, has also appeared recently in Broadway's Heartbreak House and in Off-Broadway's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Other credits include Frozen, The Real Thing and The Herbal Bed.

Csokas, who will be making his New York stage debut, has been seen in the films "Kingdom of Heaven," "Asylum," "The Bourne Supremacy" and "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King." The native New Zealander, known for his role on the television series "Xena," played the Australia stage in 2007's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf.

The design team for Antony and Cleopatra will include Alexander Dodge (set), York Kennedy (lighting), Linda Cho (costumes) and Jane Shaw (sound). Choreography is by Peg Hickey, and Rick Sordelet serves as the fight choreographer.

Tickets to Antony and Cleopatra at The Duke, 229 West 42nd Street, are available by calling (646) 223-3010. For more information visit tfana.org.
