By Adam Hetrick
10 Mar 2008

Tony nominee Graciela Daniele is among the theatre artists who have joined the artistic advisory board for the New York Theatre Barn.

The New York Theatre Barn, the young non-profit company dedicated to creating and developing new works, welcomes five new members from the theatre community to serve on its advisory board.

Daniele, whose eclectic career includes staging the original productions of Once on this Island, Marie Christine, The Pirate Queen, and Chita Rivera: The Dancer's Life, joins Thomas Caruso (director, Mimi LeDuck), Christopher Gattelli (director, How to Save the World and Find True Love in 90 Minutes, Silence of the Lambs: The Musical; choreographer High Fidelity, Sunday in the Park with George, South Pacific), Sheilah Rae (Applause, I Married Wyatt Earp), and Xanadu producer Tara Smith, for the NYTB advisory board.

The five new additions join the current board, which includes John Arnone, Matt Cavenaugh, Brian Feinstein, David Gallo, Rob Hartmann, Ann Hould-Ward, Keith Powell, Thom Sesma and Barry Z.

NYTB will celebrate its first anniversary with Untitled 2: An Evening of Songs from New Musicals on April 14 at the Triad.

The evening will feature the songs of Adam Mathias and Brad Alexander (See Rock City and Other Destinations), Ryan Scott Oliver and Kirsten Guenther (Alive at 10 and The Battery’s Down), Dan Collins and Julianne Wick Davis (Wood), Adam Gwon (Ordinary Days), Joe Iconis (The Black Suits), Rob Baumgartner (Adam Lives), and Gordon Leary and Karlan Judd (Cheer Wars).

The 9 PM performance will feature Leigh Spofford, Alysha Umphress, Holly Holcomb, Lindsay Mendez, Michael Lowe, Katherine Schickert, Jeremy Pasha, Ricky Oliver, Adam Enright and Ben Schrader.

Untitled 2 will be directed and choreographed by Joe Barros and Jillian Loyas with musical direction by Rob Baumgartner. Tickets, priced $30 (plus two-drink minimum), are available by phoning (212) 362-2590 or by visiting www.triadnyc.com.
