Xanadu's Jackson to Host Live Out Loud Gala

By Andrew Gans
14 Mar 2008

Cheyenne Jackson, who co-stars in the new Broadway musical Xanadu, will host Live Out Loud's 7th Annual Young Trailblazers Benefit Gala.

The April 28 benefit will be held at the Chelsea Art Museum. Gala chairs for the one-night-only event include fashion designers John Bartlett, Thom Browne and Ralph Rucci.

The evening, which begins at 6 PM, will feature a silent auction, cocktails, food by New York's best restaurants and caterers and the awarding of $2,500 scholarships to four high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding leadership skills.

In a statement Live Out Loud executive director Leo Preziosi, Jr. said, "Cheyenne, John, Thom, and Ralph are all leaders in their industry and role models in the LGBT community. We're thrilled to have their support and look forward to making an even greater impact of LGBT youth."

"Dedicated to empowering, mentoring, and celebrating lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) youth," Live Out Loud, according to press notes, is a "non-profit organization that produces panel discussions, lectures, and workshops that connect LGBT youth with role models and leaders in the LGBT community."

The Chelsea Art Museum is located in Manhattan at 556 West 22nd Street at 11th Avenue. To purchase tickets, which start at $85, contact Leo Preziosi, Jr. at (646) 366-5736.
