Northwestern University graduate Adam Kantor makes his Broadway debut in the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Rent March 24.

Kantor begins performances in the role of Mark Cohen at the 8 PM performance. The young actor succeeds Harley Jay in the role created by Anthony Rapp.

The New York production of Rent at the Nederlander Theatre currently features Declan Bennett as Roger Davis, Michael McElroy as Tom Collins, Rodney Hicks as Benjamin Coffin III, Kenna J. Ramsey as Joanne Jefferson, Justin Johnston as Angel Schunard, Tamyra Gray as Mimi Marquez and Nicolette Hart as Maureen Johnson.

Kantor, who hails from Great Neck NY, is making his Main Stem bow in Rent. His roles at Northwestern University included Posthumus in Cymbeline (directed by Mary Zimmerman) and Todd in In the Bubble (directed by Michael Greif).

Rent, written by the late Jonathan Larson and directed by Michael Greif, opened at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre on April 29, 1996, following a sold out, extended limited engagement at Off-Broadway's New York Theatre Workshop. The musical won the Tony Award for Best Musical as well as the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

The Nederlander Theatre is located at 208 West 41st Street, between Seventh and Eighth Avenues. Performances play Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday at 8 PM, Saturday at 2 PM & 8 PM, and Sunday at 2 PM & 7 PM.

Tickets may be purchased by visiting ticketmaster.com or by phoning TicketMaster at (212) 307-4100.
