Directed by Kelly Morgan, the drama will officially open at Abingdon's Dorothy Strelsin Theatre April 6. Another Vermeer, which is the final production of the company's 2007-2008 season, will run through April 20.
Austin Pendleton heads a cast that also includes Thom
Christopher, Dan Cordle, Justin Grace and Christian Pedersen.
"Does art help one deal with the void at the center of life, or does it cause it?," asks production notes. "That's the question at the core of this fact-based drama, as accomplished Dutch painter Han Van Meegeren must prove he forged the Vermeer he sold to Goering during WWII or face the death penalty for treason."
Show times are Tuesday-Saturday at 7:30 PM, Saturday at 2 PM and
Sunday at 3 PM.
The Dorothy Strelsin Theatre at the Abingdon Theatre
Arts Complex is located in Manhattan at 312 West 36th Street, 1st floor. Tickets, priced $20, are available by calling (212) 868-4444 or by visiting www.smarttix.com.
