"Hereafter," the latest work from Frost/Nixon scribe Peter Morgan, has been picked up by DreamWorks.

Kathleen Kennedy will produce the thriller film by the popular writer, according to Variety. The trade magazine reveals the project is "in the vein of 'The Sixth Sense'" and had been written before his acclaimed "The Queen."

Frost/Nixon is currently undergoing a leap to the big screen at the hands of director Ron Howard. Original stage stars Michael Sheen and Frank Langella reprise their roles for the film, slated to be released June 30. The cast also features Kevin Bacon, Sam Rockwell, Oliver Platt, Matthew Macfadyen, Toby Jones and Kate Jennings Grant.

An Academy Award nominee for "The Queen," Morgan has also penned "The Last King of Scotland" and "The Other Boleyn Girl." For television his work includes the HBO/Channel 4 films "Longford" and "The Deal."
