The Four Seasons, who were a longtime fixture in Las Vegas resorts, return to Sin City April 4 in the form of the Tony-winning musical Jersey Boys, beginning an open-ended run at the Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino.

Erich Bergen (Bob Gaudio), Rick Faugno (Frankie Valli), Jeremy Kushnier (Tommy DeVito) and Jeff Leibow (Nick Massi) star as the famed singing group in a cast that also includes John Altieri and Ken Krugman. Opening night is scheduled for May 3.

The Jersey Boys ensemble comprises Mike Backes, Natalie Bradshaw, Joseph Leo Bwarie, Joyce Chittick, Graham Fenton, Julia Krohn, Jason Martinez, Kristofer McNeeley, Jonathan Gerard Rodriguez, John Salvatore, Michael James Scott, Lauren Tartaglia and Colin Trahan.

Director Des McAnuff (The Who's Tommy, Big River) reteamed with the original Broadway creative team — including choreographer Sergio Trujillo — for the Vegas run.

Jersey Boys is presented in Las Vegas by original Broadway producers Dodger Theatricals, Joseph Grano, Tamara and Kevin Kinsella, Pelican Group together with BASE Entertainment in association with Latitude Link and Rick Steiner.

The Palazzo Resort was recently built by Las Vegas Sands Corp in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip and neighbors the company's Venetian and Sands Expo and Convention Center.

Jersey Boys, according to press notes, is "the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi . . . a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks who became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were 30."

The award-winning production features music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe and a book by Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice. The design team includes Klara Zieglerova (scenic), Jess Goldstein (costume), Howell Binkley (lighting), Steve Canyon Kennedy (sound), Michael Clark (projections) and Charles LaPointe (wig and hair). Steve Orich provides orchestrations, and Ron Melrose handles music direction, vocal arrangements and incidental music.

Jersey Boys premiered at the La Jolla Playhouse in October 2004 before arriving in November 2005 at Broadway's August Wilson Theatre, where it continues. The Broadway production garnered four Tony Awards: for stars John Lloyd Young and Christian Hoff, lighting designer Howell Binkley and for Best Musical.
