Lopez — who plays matriarch Camila in the new Broadway musical — earned a Tony Award for her work in A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine and was also nominated for her role in A Chorus Line. Other credits for the actress include Anna in the Tropics, Nine, Pippin, Company, Beauty of the Father and Class Mothers '68.
