Applause Theatre & Cinema Books will publish "Rent: The Complete Book and Lyrics of the Broadway Musical" May 31.

The 176-page paperback features the complete lyrics and libretto for the Tony-winning musical as well as 16 color photos in a glossy insert. Producer and filmmaker Victoria Leacock Hoffman, who produced Larson's tick, tick . . . BOOM! Off-Broadway, has penned an introduction for the book.

Larson's Rent, directed by Michael Greif, opened on Broadway April 29, 1996, following a sold-out, extended limited engagement at Off-Broadway's New York Theatre Workshop. The musical went on to win every major best musical award, including the Tony Award, New York Drama Critics Circle Award, Drama Desk Award, and the Outer Critics Circle Award.

Rent is one of only seven musicals to win the Pulitzer Prize for drama.

The musical will play its final performance at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre Sept. 7.

"Rent: The Complete Book and Lyrics of the Broadway Musical" has a retail price of $16.95.
