The second Broadway revival of Arthur Miller's 1947 drama All My Sons will begin previews at a Broadway theatre to be announced in September with an official opening in October.

According to a casting notice, the production will be helmed by Simon McBurney, the British director who is the founder and artistic director of Complicite. McBurney received 1998 Tony and Drama Desk Award nominations for his direction of The Chairs.

Eric Falkenstein is attached as producer of the forthcoming revival. John Lithgow will reportedly star as Joe. Other names mentioned for the revival include Dianne Wiest and screen actress Katie Holmes. No official casting has been announced, although the casting notice says the roles of Joe Keller and his wife, Kate Keller, have been cast.

All My Sons tells the story of a man who hastily sold defective airplane parts to the Army, which caused the crafts to crash, killing 21 men. His crime, which he long had deflected by blaming his business partner, comes back to light as his son plans to wed the partner's daughter.

All My Sons earned 1947 Tony Awards for author Miller and director Elia Kazan. That production starred Ed Begley and Karl Malden. The play was later adapted for the screen in 1948 featuring Edward G. Robinson and Burt Lancaster. A 1987 revival was presented at the John Golden Theatre starring Richard Kiley.
