Public Radio's popular "Selected Shorts" receives a live presentation at the Westport Country Playhouse on April 19 with Tony Award winner B.D. Wong, actor Campbell Scott and host Isaiah Sheffer.

The 8 PM performance is entitled New Fiction from "The Paris Review." The story selections include "Stump Louie" by Lisa Halliday, read by Isaiah Sheffer; "The Mathematician" by Daniel Kehlmann, read by B.D. Wong; and "Silver" by Karl Taro Greenfeld, read by Campbell Scott.

"Selected Shorts" is the award-winning, one-hour radio program from NPR, which features readings of classic and new short fiction by notable actors from stage and screen. Now in its 20th season, "Selected Shorts" is hosted by Sheffer and produced by Symphony Space in New York City.

B.D. Wong earned a Tony for the role of Song Liling in 1988's M. Butterfly. Wong's Broadway credits also include You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown and the Roundabout's 2004 revival of Pacific Overtures. Among his numerous screen appearances are roles on "Law and Order: SVU" and HBO's "Oz" as well as the movies "Father of the Bride," "Jurassic Park" and "Seven Years in Tibet."

Campbell Scott has appeared on Broadway in The Real Thing, Long Day's Journey Into Night and Ah, Wilderness! His film credits include "The Spanish Prisoner," "Dying Young," "The Dying Gaul" and "Duma." He co-directed "Big Night" with Stanley Tucci.

The live performance at the Westport Country Playhouse is co-presented with the Westport Arts Center. Tickets, ranging $15-$25, are available by calling (203) 227-4177 or by visiting www.westportplayhouse.org.
