Stage and screen star Campbell Scott will again be seen in Ronan Noone's The Atheist May 20 at the Culture Project.

The one-night-only Culture Project presentation follows an acclaimed limited engagement at the Huntington Theatre Company last September. Justin Waldman again directs.

Later this summer The Atheist – with star and director intact – will play the Williamstown Theatre Festival's Nikos Stage, June 25-July 6.

In The Atheist, press notes state, "Scott plays 'Augustine Early,' a crooked reporter who will do anything to get his next front-page story. When Augustine turns a prominent local politician's tawdry predilections into front-page news, the scandal threatens to undo the one person Augustine thought was immune - himself."

Scott has appeared onstage in Ah, Wilderness!; The Real Thing; and the Huntington's 1996 production of Hamlet. Recently seen in the television series "Six Degrees," the actor is also known for his film turns in "The Dying Gaul," "The Secret Lives of Dentists," "Dying Young," "Singles," "Roger Dodger" and "Marie and Bruce."

Noone's The Atheist has previously played runs in New York and London. Other works include The Lepers of Baile Baiste, The Blowin of Baile Gall and Brendan.

The Atheist plays the Culture Project at 8 PM on May 20. Tickets, priced $51, are available by calling (212) 352-3101 or by visiting www.cultureproject.org.

The Culture Project is located in Manhattan at 55 Mercer Street.
