By Kenneth Jones
01 May 2008

Roundabout Theatre Company is offering an exclusive, live "online chat" with legendary composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim, who co-wrote Roundabout's current sensation, Sunday in the Park with George, and Roundabout's artistic director Todd Haimes 7 PM May 6.

During this exclusive online event, "participants will gather in a chat room where they can instantly send questions to the hosts," according to the not-for-profit troupe. "Then, Stephen Sondheim and Todd Haimes will type back with their answers — in real time."

Log on to www.roundaboutchat.com to sign up.

Space in the chat room is subject to availability.

This live chat event "is the latest element of Roundabout's ongoing interactive initiative designed to creatively engage theatregoers and extend their experiences beyond the theatre."

Fans of Sunday in the Park with George can also log on to www.sundaydots.com to easily create their personal "Dot" and "become a part of the fun, interactive social forum."

In addition, the show's homepage, www.sundayintheparkonbroadway.com, hosts a Snap Poll for audience members to learn more about the show and each other.

The Snap Poll also enters the participant for the chance to win Sunday in the Park with George gift packages.

Sunday in the Park with George is playing a limited engagement through June 29 at Studio 54 on Broadway, at 254 W. 54th Street.

Daniel Evans (George), Jenna Russell (Dot & Marie), Michael Cumpsty (Jules & Bob), Alexander Gemignani (Boatman & Dennis) and Jessica Molaskey (Yvonne & Naomi) star in Sunday in the Park with George with Mary Beth Peil (Old Lady & Blair).

The Menier Chocolate Factory's Olivier Award-winning production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Sunday in the Park with George is directed by Sam Buntrock with musical staging by Christopher Gattelli.

Tickets are available by calling Roundabout Ticket Services at (212) 719-1300, online at www.roundabouttheatre.org or at the Studio 54 box office. Ticket prices range from $36.25-$121.25.
