O'Hara's "Wonder in the World" Arrives in Stores May 6

By Andrew Gans
06 May 2008

Kelli O'Hara

"Wonder in the World," the debut solo recording from Kelli O'Hara — who is currently starring in Lincoln Center Theater's revival of South Pacific — arrives in stores nationwide May 6 on the Ghostlight Records label.

The recording features music arranged and orchestrated by O'Hara's Pajama Game co-star, Harry Connick, Jr. Connick also accompanies O'Hara on piano on 12 of the recording's 14 tracks.

The recording features covers of Billy Joel and James Taylor tunes as well as original songs and tunes from the Great American Songbook. Also included is "Fable," one of the songs from Adam Guettel's The Light in the Piazza that former Piazza star O'Hara did not sing onstage in the award-winning musical.

The complete track list for "Wonder in the World" follows:
"The Sun Went Out" (Greg Naughton)
"Wonder in the World" (Harry Connick, Jr.; duet with Connick, Jr.)
"And So It Goes" (Billy Joel)
"Here Now" (Kelli O'Hara)
"And I Love You So" (Don McLean)
"Spooky" (Buddy Buie, James B. Cobb Jr.)
"All You Get Is Me" (Harry Connick, Jr.)
"All the Way" (Sammy Cahn, Jimmy Van Heusen)
"Fable" (Adam Guettel)
"Slowly" (Harry Connick, Jr.)
"Fire and Rain" (James Taylor)
"I Love You the World" (Kelli O'Hara)
"I Have Dreamed" (Richard Rodgers, Oscar Hammerstein II)
"Make Someone Happy" (Betty Comden, Adolph Green, Jule Styne)

O'Hara is scheduled to perform selections from "Wonder in the World" May 12 at the Lincoln Triangle Barnes and Noble at 7:30 PM. The Barnes and Noble at Lincoln Triangle is located at 1972 Broadway at 66th Street in Manhattan.

Prior to South Pacific, Kelli O'Hara was most recently on Broadway in the Tony-winning revival of The Pajama Game, earning a Tony nomination for her performance as Babe. She was also Tony-nominated for her work as Clara in The Light in the Piazza. O'Hara's other Broadway credits include Jekyll & Hyde, Follies, Sweet Smell of Success and Dracula, the Musical. She was also seen in the Reprise! staging of Sunday in the Park with George.
