Frost/Nixon and Chorus Line Will Be Part of Cincinnati Aronoff Season

By Adam Hetrick
08 May 2008

The national tours of Frost/Nixon and A Chorus Line will make stops at Cincinnati's Aronoff Center for the Arts during the theatre's 2008-2009 season.

The venue – which is gearing up for the national tour of Jersey Boys, May 21-June 15 – has announced a six-show line-up for Ohio theatergoers.

A national tour of The Wizard of Oz is the first to arrive, playing Nov. 11-23. The Broadway revival of Grease – which gained momentum from its reality competition casting – sends out a national tour that will make a stop in Cincinnati Jan 20-Feb. 1, 2009.

Stacy Keach stars in the national tour of Peter Morgan's Frost/Nixon, which dramatizes the infamous televised interviews between David Frost and former U.S. President Richard Nixon. Michael Grandage repeats his Tony-nominated directorial work for the production that plays Feb. 24-March 8, 2009.

The new Cirque Dreams: Jungle Fantasy – which will play a limited Broadway engagement this summer – arrives at the Aronoff Center March 31-April 12, 2009.

The final two Broadway offerings include the national tour of the Tony-winning musical Avenue Q. The puppet-themed comedy plays April 21-May 3, 2009. And, the national tour of Broadway's A Chorus Line revival arrives May 26-June 7, 2009.

Season tickets are currently available by visiting www.BroadwayAcrossAmerica.com. The Aronoff Center for the Arts is located at 650 Walnut Street in downtown Cincinnati, OH.
