Prinz, Jimenez, Mufson and More Set for Voices of Swords at Off-Broadway's Urban Stages

By Andrew Gans
09 May 2008

Rosemary Prinz — who has been seen on Broadway in The Prisoner of Second Avenue, Tribute and Three Men on a Horse — will star in Kari Floren's new play, Voices of Swords.

Directed by Spider Duncan Christopher, the limited engagement will play June 18-22 at Off-Broadway's Urban Stages. Right Down Broadway Productions produces.

The cast also features Robert M. Jimenez (Take Me Out), Lauren Mufson (Mamma Mia!), Michael McKenzie (Waiting in the Wings, The Man Who Came to Dinner), Mary Elaine Monti and Tony nominee Gordon Joseph Weiss (Sly Fox, Ghetto).

In Voices, Prinz, according to press notes, plays "an indomitable woman, Olivia, who employs a personal organizer, Alexis, to win the battle with her wayward son. Unfortunately Alexis can't organize her own life, much less anyone else's. Fortunately Alexis shows Olivia that losing the battle can sometimes mean winning the war."

The design team comprises Tamar Gadish (set), John Viesta (lights) and Zach Moore (sound) with original music penned by Roger Murdock. Emileena Pedigo is the production stage manager.

Show times are Wednesday- Friday at 8 PM, Saturday at 2 and 8 PM and Sunday at 3 and 7 PM.

Tickets, priced $40, are available by calling (212) 868-4444 or by visiting www.smarttix.org.
