"Sopranos" Stars Grimaldi, Cerbone and Lisi Will Be Part of Reading of Messina's Homeland

By Andrew Gans
09 May 2008

A by-invitation-only reading of Charles Messina's Homeland will be held May 20 at the Triad Theatre in Manhattan.

The 3 PM reading will feature the talents of "Sopranos" actors Dan Grimaldi, Jason Cerbone and Joe Lisi as well as Gina Ferranti and Amir Darvish. Messina directs.

Homeland, according to press notes, is set in upstate New York and reveals "an insulated community where ordinary lives are overrun by fear and paranoia following the events of September 11th."

Writer-director Charles Messina's credits include Cirque Jacqueline and Mercury. He also directed the musical Be My Love about the life of legendary tenor Mario Lanza.

The Triad Theatre is located at 158 West 72nd Street in Manhattan. Industry folk and producers interested in attending the reading should call (212) 252-6910.
