Mason Will Be The Ultimate Jew for Two Extra Weeks Off-Broadway

By Andrew Gans
12 May 2008

The limited engagement of Jackie Mason—The Ultimate Jew at Off-Broadway's New World Stages has been extended an additional two weeks.

The production, which began performances March 18, was originally scheduled to conclude June 29 but will now play through July 13.

Jackie Mason—The Ultimate Jew is described as such: "Elder statesman of the stand-up comedy world, Jackie Mason combines pungent political satire, insightful observations on the foibles of modern life, and impeccable timing to create material that leaves audiences laughing until they cry show after show."

Jackie Mason has been seen on Broadway in Jackie Mason: Freshly Squeezed, Jackie Mason's Laughing Room Only, Prune Danish, Much Ado About Everything, Love Thy Neighbor, Jackie Mason: Politically Incorrect, Jackie Mason: Brand New, Jackie Mason's The World According to Me! and A Teaspoon Every Four Hours. He won a 1987 Special Tony Award for The World According to Me!

Show times are Tuesday-Saturday at 8 PM with matinees Saturday at 2 PM and Sunday at 3 PM.

New World Stages/Stage 3 is located in Manhattan at 340 West 50th Street, between Eighth and Ninth Avenues.

Tickets for the production, which is being billed as Mason's eighth and "final one-man comedy," are available by calling (212) 239-6200 or by visiting www.telecharge.com.
