Comden & Green's New York: From Greenwich Village to the Great White Way is the title of an upcoming benefit for the Greenwich House Music School.

The June 9 benefit performance — directed and penned by Amanda Green, the daughter of the late Adolph Green — will be held at the Barrow Street Theatre. Phyllis Newman, Green's widow, is the evening's honorary chair. Jim Caruso produces.

Among those scheduled to perform the songs of Comden and Green are Michael Arnold, Kate Baldwin, Stephanie J. Block, Walter Bobbie, Matthew Broderick, Andrea Burns, Jonathan Dukochitz, Jonathan Freeman, Sean Martin Hingston, Ann Harada, Norm Lewis, Jessica Molaskey, John Pizzarelli, Douglas Sills, Mary Testa and Max von Essen.

Proceeds will benefit the Greenwich House Music School, specifically the school's endowment fund, which goes toward scholarships for deserving students and the school's music education outreach programs in New York City public schools.

The late Betty Comden and Adolph Green wrote the book and/or lyrics for On the Town; Bells Are Ringing; On the Twentieth Century; Wonderful Town; Hallelujah, Baby!; Applause; Peter Pan; A Doll's Life; Do Re Mi and The Will Rogers Follies. Comden and Green’s films include "Singin’ in the Rain" and "The Band Wagon," and they were both awarded the Kennedy Center Honors in 1991.

For questions about the event call (212) 242-4770. To purchase tickets visit www.NYCharities.org (go to June 9 on the events calendar).

The Barrow Street Theatre is located in Manhattan at 27 Barrow Street.
