14 May 2008

The acclaimed Songbook series — produced, directed and hosted by John F. Znidarsic — will play its final performance at the Donnell Library Theatre May 20.

Audiences can expect to hear tunes penned by Gerard Alessandrini, Tom Andersen, David Arthur, Christopher Berg, Marc Campbell, Tom Caruso, Doug Cohen, Michael Cooper, Steven Cole, Frank Evans, Brian Gari, Zina Goldrich, Sean Hartley, Marcy Heisler, Steve Hoffman, Mark Janas, Noel Katz, David Krane, John Kroner, Charles Leipart, Steve Marzullo, James Merillat, Ben Moore, Peter Napolitano, Robert Lindsey Nassif and Richard Pearson Thomas.

Performers will include Mana Allen, Gerard Alessandrini, Tom Andersen, David Arthur, Megan Buzzard, Maree Johnson-Baruch, Steven Cole, Doug Cohen, Chris Foster, Brian Gari, Mary Gutzi, Sean Hartley, Terri Klausner, David Krane, Ben Moore, Julie Reyburn, Maureen Taylor and Michael Winther.

Although the concerts will no longer be presented at the Donnell Library — it is closing to make way for a new hotel — the series will resume Oct. 27 at the New York Library for the Performing Arts.

The Donnell Library Theater is located in Manhattan at 20 West 53rd Street, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. For further information call Arts and Artists at (212) 265-3495, ext. 336.
