Broadway actress Julie Halston and playwright Donna Daley will sign copies of their book, "Monologues for Show-Offs," at the Drama Book Shop May 22.
"There's a window of opportunity at your audition to dig in fast and show personality," Daley said in a statement. "It's important to establish the scene from the moment the actor speaks. Bold choices are built in. All the elements that help you pop."
Known for her spot-on comic timing, Halston has appeared in many of Charles Busch's comedies as well as Broadway's Gypsy, Hairspray and The Women. Playwright Donna Daley has penned The Misconception of Iggy, Deeply Shallow and co-authored Mama Drama.
The Drama Book Shop is located in Manhattan at 250 W. 40th St. (between Seventh and Eighth Avenues).
"Monologues for Show-Offs" retails for $14.95. For further information visit www.monologuesforshowoffs.com.
