Off-Broadway's Second Stage Theatre has announced a festival of new works featuring developing plays by Zakiyyah Alexander, J. Holtham, Rajiv Joseph, Sandra Tsing Loh, Sung Rno, Betty Shamieh, Cheryl L. West and Tracey Scott Wilson.

The by-invitation-only "Second Stage Theatre New Works Festival," which will play June 13 at 11 AM on the company's midtown mainstage, will feature "readings of selected scenes from eight of the ten new plays from the Time Warner Commissioning Program," according to the announcement.
The works to be presented are:
10 Things to Do Before I Die by Zakiyyah Alexander
Manifesto by J. Holtham
Animals Out of Paper by Rajiv Joseph (to be seen this summer in the Uptown Series)
Mothers on Fire by Sandra Tsing Loh
Happy by Sung Rno
As Soon as Impossible by Betty Shamieh
Wash Your Rabbit by Cheryl L. West
Buzzer by Tracey Scott Wilson
The two other Time Warner-commissioned playwrights, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Lynn Nottage, will attend the festival to discuss their plays but will not present a scene.
