Playwrights for Pets to Present Gay-Themed In the Rainbow Benefit June 9

Playwright for Pets will present In the Rainbow — an evening of gay-themed plays for adults — June 9 at the Baruch Performing Arts Center.

The performance, which benefits Animal Haven, will include works by Jim Dalglish, Carolyn Gage, David Johnston, Barbara Kahn, Edward Musto, Judd Lear Silverman and Kathleen Warnock. Show time is 7:30 PM.

Directors and actors will be announced at a later date. The running time will be approximately 90 minutes.

Playwrights for Pets, according to the group's official website, "was created to produce play readings in support of organizations dedicated to animal welfare." For more information visit www.playwrightsforpets.com or animalhavenshelter.org.

The Baruch Performing Arts Center is located in Manhattan at 55 Lexington Avenue at 25th Street. There is a suggested donation of $10. For reservations call (718) 768-4213 or e-mail sue@playwrightsforpets.com.
