Line-Up Announced for EAT's Notes from a Page Musical Festival

The fifth and final installment of the Emerging Artists Theatre's developmental series Notes from a Page – a week-long festival of new musicals – begins June 10.

Notes from a Page will run through June 14 at the Roy Arias Theatre Center.
The line-up for the series follows:
Wilde, at Heart
Written by Evan Guilford-Blake, composed by Linda Uzelac and directed by Luann Jennings
"Three of Oscar Wilde's fairy tales – 'The Happy Prince,' 'The Selfish Giant' and the little known 'The Star-Child' — that tell of love, beauty and redemption." (June 10, 7:30 PM)
Murphy & Murphy
Written by Frederic Vaughn
"Murphy & Murphy is the story of a gay interracial couple as they go from Vaudeville to television." (June 11, 7:30 PM)
Lizan
Book and lyrics by Bil Wright, music by Joseph-Vernon Banks
"An African American college beauty queen and mistress of presidential candidate Senator Bob Jordan is reported missing." Darlesia Cearcy (The Color Purple ) stars. (June 12, 7:30 PM)
The Time Travelers Convention
Written by Heidi Heilig and Mike Pettry
"Three students who long to change their pasts hope for a visit from a time traveler — could it happen?" (June 13, 7:30 PM)
Alice
Composition and lyrics by Frank Blocker, book by William Wade
"Alice finds herself whisked away from the City into a world of political comeuppance, freedom of oppression, and sexual ambiguities in this comic retelling of the Lewis Carroll classic." (June 14, 2 PM)
3 Messiahs Walk into a Bar
Book, music and lyrics by Matt Hanf, co-composed by Brian Jebian
"Three Messiahs Walk into a Bar is the story of the courtship of Mary by Joseph — if Groucho Marx had told it." (June 14, 7:30 PM)
