The drama – set in New York City in the 1960's – "pulls you into an unexpected new world — the high-powered and glamorous golden age of advertising where everyone is selling something — and nothing is ever what you expect it to be," according to the AMC website.
Fans interested in catching up on the hour-long series will be able to purchase the first season on DVD beginning July 1. AMC will also run an all-day marathon of "Mad Men" beginning at 12 noon July 20.
The "Mad Men" cast features Jon Hamm in the central role with Christina Hendricks, January Jones and Darby Stanchfield.
Among the theatre actors who also appear on the series are Robert Morse (How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying), John Slattery (Rabbit Hole), Vincent Kartheiser (Slag Heap), Elisabeth Moss (Franny's Way), Bryan Batt (La Cage aux Folles), Michael Gladis (Fifth of July), Aaron Staton (Mamma Mia!), Maggie Siff (The Ruby Sunrise), Anne Dudek (Wrong Mountain) and Rosemarie DeWitt (Danny and the Deep Blue Sea).
