The London production of Spamalot will end its run at the West End's Palace Theatre Jan. 3, 2009, in preparation for a U.K. tour that will launch in April 2009. The show opened at the Palace Theatre in October 2006, so it will have completed a run of over two years by the time it closes.

It has also been announced that Sanjeev Bhaskar, best known as the host of the TV series "The Kumars at No. 42," will take over as King Arthur, King of the Britons, on June 23, 2008. He succeeds Alan Dale.

Bhaskar was last seen on the West End stage when he appeared in Yasmina Reza's Art at the Whitehall Theatre. His film appearances include "Scoop," "Anita and Me," "The Guru, "Mystic Masseur" and "Notting Hill." His other television appearances include "Goodness Gracious Me," "Life Isn't All Ha Ha Hee Hee," "Chopra Town," "The Way It Is," "Love Soup" and "Position Impossible."

Bhaskar joins a cast that also includes Swedish reality TV star Nina Söderquist as The Lady of The Lake, Gerard Carey as Prince Herbert, Ross Dawes as Sir Robin, Jake Nightingale as Sir Lancelot, Andrew Spillett as Patsy, Adam Stafford as Sir Bedevere and Michael Xavier as Sir Dennis Galahad.
