and Andrew Gans
05 Jun 2008

The cast of South Pacific – including Tony nominees Kelli O'Hara, Paulo Szot, Loretta Ables Sayre and Danny Burstein – perform at the Lincoln Triangle Barnes and Noble June 5.

Also in attendance for the 5 PM performance and signing will be cast member Matthew Morrison as well as "South Pacific Companion" author Laurence Maslon.

Released on the Masterworks Broadway label on May 27, the single CD of the 2008 revival features complete lyrics, synopsis, color production photos, and an essay by Lincoln Center Theater artistic director Andre Bishop.

The Barnes and Noble website offers South Pacific fans the opportunity to download bonus tracks not included on the disc. The tracks include "Billis Bali Ha'i," "Cable Hears Bali Ha'i," "Company Street" and orchestral/karaoke tracks of "A Wonderful Guy," "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair" and "Some Enchanted Evening."

The new Lincoln Center Theater staging includes the song "My Girl Back Home." A duet between Lt. Cable and Nellie Forbush, the song was cut from the original Broadway production but reinstated for the 1958 film adaptation. South Pacific also boasts a 30-piece orchestra performing the musical's original orchestrations by Robert Russell Bennett and dance and incidental music arrangements by Trude Rittmann.
